2015 memories

I've been the worst blogger this year!  It's been a busy and exciting time for our family and it's been a great year.  Unfortunately, blogging has not been high on my priority list this year.  I want to get back into it and in 2016 I'll blog more for now here's a quick look back at our 2015

January-I traveled to Disney to spend a week with my Dad and sister.  We had a blast!

February-Brock's senior year basketball season came to an end :-(

March-we celebrated Ava's 13 birthday! Here is Ava with her BFF Avery.

April-I went to my first ever cooking class with my friend Jenn and her daughter Ashley. We had a blast and learned to make homemade pasta!

May-Brock played a lot of baseball this month with his high school baseball team. I always love watching him play!

June-Brock went to Prom and graduated high school!  This was a huge month for him!

July-this was a fun summer month filled with friends and loads of fun!  I went on a weekend wine tour and I went to a Hospice fundraiser concert in our town. Fun, fun, fun!

August-Brock started college at SUNY Brockport and I got super busy at work because  our students came back. Here's a picture from Brock's move in day and a picture of my students at our welcome back pool party in the quad.

September-Ava started eighth grade!  We had fun times with friends and I went to a conference at Mohonk spa for work it was beautiful!

October-Brock visited home for the first time since leaving for College, and i helped with the Pit Run again this year.

November-Ava started her basketball season!  Basketball is her favorite sport and we love watching her play. We also celebrated Thanksgiving at Turning Stone which is always fun!

December- December is always a busy month and it's my favorite month of the year!  We celebrated by going to lots of Christmas parties, going to NYC to see the Rockettes with my best gal pal Sabrina  and we hosted Ava's annual cookie party.

That's a wrap for us for 2015!  We have lots of fun things planned for 2016-a Disney trip, my 40th birthday (yikes!), a girls  spring break trip to Florida, two fun summer concerts, and  a summer trip to the beach.

I hope your New Years is filled with fun, family and friends!

Brock's prom!

Brock's senior prom was last Thursday!    He went with his friend Emily.  I thought he looked so handsome in his tux.

Here is Brock with a few of his favorite friends.  It's crazy to think these boys are all grown up :-(
Everyone got together at a park in our town to take pictures.  That made taking pictures so fun.  It was great seeing everyone all dressed up!

Brock and his BFF George.  George's date bought him the top hat which I thought was cute.

We all went to the park to get pictures taken with Brock!

Here I am with some of my favorite mom friends from Brock's class.  My friend Kacy (in pink) went along with me to be my photographer.  It was great having her there to take pictures for us.

Brock's baseball game was cancelled for tonight so we are going to have a quiet night at home.  Happy Tuesday!

Brock's graduation!

Saturday we celebrated Brock's high school graduation!  His senior year flew by and though I am happy he is graduating it was a bittersweet day for me.

Brock's class is one of the biggest in our school district.  There were 145 students that graduated on Saturday the girls wore yellow and the boys wore blue.  The ceremony only lasted an 1 1/2 hours which I didn't think was too bad considering the number of graduates in his class.

After the ceremony we were able to take some pictures outside.

Here is our family of four :)

Brock with his Grandma Jan

Brock and Ava.  Doesn't Brocked look THRILLED to be taking a picture with his sister-ha ha!

After the ceremony we came back to our house and had lunch (Brock requested a deli platter) and cake.  I ordered his cake from the College.  I think it turned out so cute!

Tomorrow I'll be back with more pictures from the last few months of his senior year including prom and pictures from baseball.

Happy Monday!

xoxo

Disney trip!

I've been at Disney since Saturday with my Dad and Vicki and my sister and her family.  I was sad to leave my own family at home for this trip but I am so happy I decided to come!
We are staying at Art of Animation resort and it's adorable.  We are staying in the cars area.
Here are some pics from our hotel.

Our first night here we went to Downtown Disney and we picked up my Dad an early birthday gift at Lego Lsnd

Sunday we headed to Magic a Kingdom (my favorite!) for a day of fun! Our first day was the last day they had their Christmas decorations up.  I'm so glad we were able to see them!

Monday we went to Hollywood Studios.  We saw Anna and Elsa and rode on the tower of terror

We took some pics by Echo Lake
And we had lunch at the 50's prime time cafe which was so fun!  In the afternoon in rained like crazy so we headed back to out hotel.

Tuesday the 13th was my birthday and we had a fun filled day at magic kingdom!  We ate at Be our Guest for lunch.  This is Ainsley and I in the grand ballroom.

For dinner we went to 1900 Park Fare at the grand Floridian which is my all time favorite dinner at Disney.  I'm so happy we got to do it on my birthday.  At dinner we got to meet Prince Charming and Cinderella.  Ainsley was thrilled!

Wednesday we spent a full day at Epcot. We didn't go to Epcot last year so in glad we decided to go this time. We did it all at Epcot!  We rode soarin', spaceship earth, mission to Mars, and test track and went around the world. The food was delicious and we loved, loved, loved soarin'!

Today we spent our last day at Magic Kingdom.  We spent the day going on our favorite rides-big thunder mountain, haunted mansion and people mover and we did the Hall of Presidents.  We finished our day with dinner at Tony's town square (the lady and the tramp restaurant) and did some shopping on Main Street.
Tomorrow we will have a relaxing morning at our resort before we head to the airport.  I've had a great week!

Our week!

I'm headed to Florida today for a week in the sun with my Dad, Vicki and my sister and her family.  I'm sad to be leaving my own family for a week but I'm thrilled to go away and spend some much needed time with them!
Here are some pics from my week..

I'm teaching a strength training class at the Y!  I love strength training and I'm thrilled to be teaching it this session along with my two aqua classes.
Brock's basketball team are selling these shirts.  Aren't they cute?  He's on the top row, right hand side.

Speaking of basketball here is a picture from Ava's game last week.  She's loves, loves, loves playing and I'm happy to see her so happy!
It's been below 0 for a few days this week.  We spent lots of time at home snuggled on the couch.

Yesterday my friends surprised me with a birthday lunch.  My birthday is next week and I have a party planned when I get back from Florida so I was really shocked yesterday!

They got me a kitchen aid mixer!  I am so, so thrilled and I couldn't have been more surprised!  I can't wait to start using it.

I'm off to get ready for my trip!  Have a nice weekend!!  xoxoxo
