Fall Decorating!

Over the weekend I did some fall decorating to get our house ready for the fall.  Fall is my favorite season of the year to decorate for and I have two huge bins of stuff!  I didn't get it all out yet but I did do a little decorating inside.  I still have to get some mums and pumpkins for outside.  It is beginning to feel like fall here and I like when it get's a little cooler and the leaves start changing colors.

Our office.

Last spring  I painted the shelves in our office black.  I really like the way they turned out but I don't think I ever showed them on here.  They are very large and take up one whole side of our office.  I like that they also have 4 cabinets (one in each corner) for storage.

When I was in Illinois I got this cork board at Hobby Lobby.  I LOVE it!!  I just put it up last weekend and I think it looks really good in here.  Good news a Hobby Lobby opened up 1 hour from our house and I am going there this weekend!  I can't wait!  I always find cute (cheap!) things there. 

Ava put on the pictures for me and she said that they are mainly pictures of her with just a couple of Brock-ha ha!

This is a picture I made out of scrapbook paper.  This used to be a large canvas I didn't like the picture anymore but I wanted to re-use the canvas because it was so big (and expensive!)

This is our blanket chest/bench that I think works really well in there.  We also use this for extra seating sometimes.

Weekend wrap up!

This weekend was a busy one at our house. 

Friday night-Graig had a poker night with his friends at our house and I decided to paint Brock's bathroom.  I have been wanting to re-paint it for a while now and since I didn't have anything else to do I decided to update it.  I am going to show some pictures after I get some new towels and rugs. \

Saturday morning our town had a huge garage sale on Main Street so I went with my friends Allison and Sabrina.  We were there ALL morning.  I bought this little  orange fiesta plate for .25 cents and I bought an old fashioned suitcase.  Those were my only two purchases of the day!   I put the orange plate on top of our fridge for some fall flair.

Saturday night Sabrina and I went to Wal-Mart to get some supplies for our craft day on Sunday.  On our way there we stopped to pick some Chinese laterns that she had seen in the woods by the high school in our town.  They are SO beautiful!  I made two little bouquets out of mine. 

We wanted to spray paint pumpkins white so we got some pumpkins and some ivory spray paint.  We also got these adorable place mats for our tables.  These were only $3 each!

Sunday afternoon we got together to paint our pumpkins white.  We had about 10 pumpkins each to paint, some little some big.  We also had some black and we wanted to try to paint some black.

Sabrina also painted this candle holder that she bought at the yard sales on Saturday black and gave it  to me.  I LOVE it!  The green pumpkin I got at Wal-Mart for $5.

Baby it's cold outside...

It has been so chilly here lately.  It's beginning to feel like fall around here.  I turned on our fireplace a few times this past week.  It's electric so it doesn't give off any heat but I like the way it looks. 

I also got out one of my fall candles.  It's Pumpkin Patch by Bath and Body Works.  This is my favorite fall candle!

I have been obsessed with having a bar for the longest time. I don't know why I started wanting one but it seems like I always have.  My friends make fun of me because I am always searching and buying things for the bar.  Graig and I don't even drink that often so really the bar is just for looks.

Happy Friday!  I am SO glad it's the weekend!  It is suppose to be chilly so we are just going to hang around the house and relax.  Brock and Ava just finished their first week of school they are tired.  We won't do too much but I do want to start getting our fall stuff out.  It might be a little early but I LOVE decorating for fall.

Little Tables

I have been looking for a while for a little side table for our sunroom.  Last weekend at garage sales I found two tables they were each $5.  I spray painted them black and then distressed them. 
Here they are all finished!  I put one by each couch in our sunroom.

White Board Makeover

A couple of months ago I got two huge frames for $2.50 each.  I knew they were a great deal but I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them.  My friend Sabrina came up with a great solution!  We turned them into white boards.  She is soooo creative!  We got the white board at Home Depot (I think it's actually for a shower) it came in a big sheet and we had it cut to size to fit in our frames.
