Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends!  This week flew by and we are ready for the weekend!  We have a few fun things planned so it's going to be a good one.    Today I am linking up with ErikaNarci and Andrea to share my Friday favorites.

1.Graig and I celebrated our anniversary last week.  We went out for dinner to celebrate last weekend and we are planning an anniversary trip for December to visit Arizona.  I can't wait!

2.  On Tuesday and Wednesday I went to Cleveland with three friends to watch my friend Vicki's nephew play baseball.  He plays for the Dodgers and it was SO exciting to watch him play in person. Our whole town is SO excited that he is playing in the major leagues and it was fun to see him play in Cleveland.   I took tons of pictures from our trip and I will have a full post up about our trip sometime next week.

3-Ava finished her last final yesterday so she is officially done with her freshman year of high school!  She is playing in a basketball tournament this weekend in Albany and I can't wait to watch her play this weekend.

4.  We had our Plant and Pose last Friday and it was SO fun! Here is our group with their succulent planters they made.  This is another post I need to finish-ha ha!

5.  I am officially DONE with Whole 30!  It was a hard 30 days and I'm happy it's finally over!  I lost 10 lbs.  I am planning to do a whole post on Whole 30 and what I've learned from the program.

6.  I ordered this tube for Ava and I for summer tubing. We always go a few times a year and I always rent the tubes.  I thought it would be better this year to get our own.    It came in the mail yesterday and I can't wait to try it out!

Friday Favorites

Today I am linking up with ErikaNarci and Andrea to share my Friday favorites.  I am  happy it's Friday!  We have a lot of fun planned for the weekend and after being sick and having a long week at work I'm ready for some fun!

1. Graig and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary on Wednesday!!!  I can't believe we've been married 20 years. We are going to dinner tomorrow night to celebrate and we are planning an anniversary trip to Arizona in December to see Brock

2.. I have a small craft business called Branch and Bloom with my friend Rachael.  Once a month we host a craft class and teach people how to make a craft.  This month we are teaming up with our dear friend Jenn who is a yoga instructor to do a Plant and Pose at Jenn's farm.   People will come and do a yoga class and then we will make concrete planters (called hypertufas) that people can plant succulents in.  It's going to be a fun night! Here is a sample of what we will be making tonight.

3-This month I have been doing Whole 30.  I'm on day 26 and I'm SO over it!  I can't wait to have some bread and something sweet!  On Whole 30 you can't have grains, legumes, sugar (sugar is in everything!), or alcohol.  I've lost 10lbs.this month and I feel great!  I'm just ready for some carbs!

4-ordered a new planner from Erin Condren and it came yesterday!! I love it and I can't wait to start using it in July.
I personalized it with special pictures of my friends and family from the last year.

5. My friend Heather went to Mohonk Mountain House and brought me back this beautiful airplant.  I absolutely love it! I put it in our kitchen.

That's my Friday Favorites for this week.  I hope you had a great week ❤️❤️

Dirty Dancing on Stage

Last Wednesday night I went with my three best girlfriends to see the touring show of Dirty Dancing.  We bought our tickets in March and I didn't think of it again until last week when I saw it on my calendar.  It was a fun night out!

I will say that Dirty Dancing came out when I was 11 and my Mom didn't let me watch the movie when it first came out because she thought it was too mature for me.  Eventually I did get to see it and I loved it!  I bought both CD's and listened to the songs all the time.

Before the show we went to The Tailor and the Cook for dinner.  It was amazing!   I had scallops.  I'm doing whole 30 so no bread or alcohol for me but the scallops were delicious!

After dinner we headed to the show.  We watched Dirty Dancing at the historic Stanley Theatre in Utica.  This was my first show there and I thought it was beautiful. They have  completely renovated the interior but have kept the old, original details.  It was absolutely stunning!

The show was great!  Baby and Johnny were AMAZING.  They are both so talented.  Johnny was played by Christopher Tierney (the Broadway Spider-Man that fell 30 feet-remember him?). Same guy! The whole cast was great.
 It was a fun night!

We had a great time and we can't wait for the next broadway show to come to Utica!

Cheers to 20 years!!!!

Yesterday was our 20th wedding anniversary!!!!  We are going to celebrate by going to dinner Saturday night and we are planning an anniversary trip to Arizona in December to visit Brock.

Here we are on our wedding day 20 years ago.  We were babies!

I am proud of the life that we have built together and our two  beautiful children.  Graig is the most patient and loyal man I know and I am thankful for him every day!

This past year has been full of excitement-Ava graduating from 8th grade, Brock moving to Arizona, the tree-and I look forward to what the next year has in store for us.

Here's to another 20 years!

Our weekend

Happy Monday!!!  We had a great weekend until I got sick with a cold on Saturday night 😷. I spent the day/night in bed and I feel like I'm on the mend today.  Thank goodness I HATE being sick!

Friday night I went to a concert at Ommegang Brewery with my friend Sabrina. We saw the Avett Brothers and they were fantastic!  We almost made it to the front row!  I love being in the front row for concerts ❤️.  I love their music and would love to go see them again.

Saturday Sabrina and I went to the Country Loving Fair.  We have gone together for the past three years.  We always get such good ideas for crafts and there are always such good vendors.  I always leave so inspired to create.  We had a great day shopping, eating and thinking about things we want to make in the future.  It was fun day!  I did a post on our trip to Country Living here from last year.

While I was at the Country Living Fair G took Ava to her basketball tournament in Binghamton.  Her team won the tournament!  She was thrilled!  She plays at home next weekend and I can't wait to watch her play.

I hope you had a great weekend!

Friday Favorites

Today I am linking up with ErikaNarci and Andrea to share my Friday favorites.  I am  happy it's Friday!  This weekend is going to be a good mix of work and fun.  Friday's are the BEST!!  Things are CRAZY BUSY for us.  We've had plans every.single.night and we have been working SO hard to get our house ready.  Our first baseball family comes in tonight!

Here are my favorites from this week

1.  my niece Ainsley graduated from kindergarten this week in TX!  Here she is with her parents.  I love her so much.  My sister's blog is here.

2.  Ava is going to Czech Republic next year.  This week we learned the city she will be in and I emailed with her first host Mom.  Her host sister is an hour away from us (she spent the year as an exchange student in the US) and we are going to meet her for lunch before she goes back to Czech.
We also have started planning Ava's going away party that will be held in August.
3.  I really want to learn how to do chalk lettering and drawings I  am SO excited about this kit I ordered from Lily and Val.  I am determined to learn how to draw on chalkboards this summer.
4.  My dear friend Amy hosted her annual Memorial Day party over the weekend.  It was a perfect day and we had a blast!  For me that party is the un-official start of summer!
5.  My friend Jenn teaches yoga and last weekend she did a Goat Yoga class.  It was so great and it was a fun start to the weekend.
6.  Our first baseball renters come in today and I made 5 small floral arrangements for them.  I put three in our bathrooms, one is in the dining room and one is in the living room.  I hope they like them!  I will also have better flowers from my gardens as the summer goes on.  Right now my flowers are just starting to bloom.

That's it for me this week!  I hope you have a great weekend!

xoxo
