Friday Favorites!

Today I'm linking up with AndreaNarci and Erika to share my Friday favorites.  We celebrated the 4th of July and spent a lot of time swimming this week which is always fun.  This weekend Ava went camping with another family and G and I have some house projects to do and I'm going to a Sugarland concert Sunday night so it's going to be a great weekend!

1.  We celebrated 4th of July Wednesday with a parade, lunch and swimming with friends and a concert at night.  It was a FULL day!!  Here is a picture of the side table that I decorated in our sunroom.

2.  I made this delicious taco dip for a party last weekend.  I am going to post the full recipe tomorrow in my Saturday snack post.

3.  Our niece and nephew are always two of my favorites.  Our nephew Gabe just got a new pet snack (ewww!!) and his mom sent us this cute picture of the two of them.

4.  My absolute favorite thing to do in the summer (besides swimming) is hanging out on the deck eating good food and having a fun drink.  I could do this every.single.night.  It's heaven to me.

5.  This mason jar carrier that I got at Wal-Mart earlier this summer is a favorite.  I have used it all summer and I just love it!  I have used it countless times this summer.  It comes with six mason jars, straws and lids.

That's it for me this week. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Happy Birthday America!!

We had a fabulous 4th of July!  We ate a lot of delicious food, spent some time with some fabulous friends and just had a really great day being outside in the beautiful sunshine.

Ava and I started the day by marching in our town's annual 4th of July parade.  It held at noon and was blazing hot.  We passed out stickers and candy to promote the annual Pit Run that happens in October.

Right after the parade Ava and I went and had lunch with my friend Sabrina and her family and then we went swimming for the afternoon.  It was in the high 90's and it was a great way to spend the afternoon.

After swimming we raced home and I got ready to go to a concert at Ommegang. Before the concert we dropped off our husbands to play cards and had snacks at my friend M's house.

We had dinner before the concert at the Red Shed.  We sat outside and had amazing grilled cheese, french fries and mozzarella sticks-you know super healthy food-ha ha!

After dinner we headed to the concert it was a beautiful night to be outside and listen to music.  We ran into my sister in law Anne at the concert.  I always love seeing her and I got to see her Dad who is visiting from Michigan.

I decorated a table in our little back porch for 4th of July.  I wanted to do a whole post on my decorating for the 4th but I didn't have time this year.  Anyway, as usual I love decorating for holidays and the 4th of July is no different.   I've had my 4th of July decorations for years and I get them out every year.  I add little American flags to plants and the star banner and flag plates I got at TJ Maxx years ago.

I hope you and yours had a fabulous 4th!!

4th of July

This day can be summed up by one word...BASEBALL!! Brock was in a tournament so we were at the baseball field all day. It was so much fun, I absolutely love his baseball games. We all have the best time cheering on our team. It did not feel like 4th of July because it was SO COLD!! I had jeans on and I had a cover on me all day because it was so windy and chilly. Brock's team played two games. We lost one and we won one game. Tomorrow we go back for more games.

During a little break in games my friend Sabrina and I hit some yard sales. I didn't find too much but I did find this vase which I really like. It has sunflowers on it and I love sunflowers so I will find a place for it somewhere!

Tonight, we got together with about 6 other baseball families for a cookout and fireworks. We had a great time and ate SO MUCH!! After a full day of baseball we were all so tired to we left right after the fireworks.

Brock is taking care of our neighbors dog for the weekend so after the cook out Brock and I went over so Brock could take care of the dog.
Tomorrow we have another day full of baseball!!
