Life lately

This has been the loonnnggeeeesssst week ever.  Work has been busy and it's been busy at home.  I am SO looking forward to this weekend! I have lots of fun things planned this weekend so I'm thrilled it's Fri-yay!!!

This morning started at 1:30am for us.  We had to get Ava up for her 8th grade trip to the Grand Canyon. 

This was here eating her breakfast.  She is NOT a morning person.

Luckily she was happier a few hours later and she sent us this picture from the plane.

Sunday my friend Danielle invited us to her daughters third birthday party.  She had did a Star Wars theme.  It was so cute!

Ava went with me to the party and she had a ball hanging out with her friend Angelica.

On Wednesdsy we celebrated my friend Teri's birthday.  We had Italian food it was amazing!  Thankfully I brought my selfie stick so we could take a group pic :-) 

My friend Lynn has been posting the cutest pictures of our girls when they were young. I love the picture of Ava in her cow costume. And LOL about the band aid on her forehead.  

My friend Rachael and I finally ordered business cards and made s Facebook and Instagram for our new craft class business.  We are so excited to get started with this project!

Crafty Wednesday {Picture Monograms}

This week I had three friends that had birthdays.  I wanted to get them something thoughtful that didn't cost a lot of money so I thought a picture collage monogram would be the perfect gift!

I got this idea from the lovely one my friends made me and my friend Jenni at our 40th.

I picked up smaller wooden letters at Walmart in the craft section for $2.  Actually my friend Rachael was there and she got them for me.  She sent me this picture to show me how big they were. 

I looked on Facebook to get the pictures and printed the pictures on black and white on regular copy paper.

I then mod podged the pictures on the letter. I used about 40 pictures per letter.

Here's my finished product.  My friends loved them! It was a fun project to do.

Home Tour Tuesday {Entryway}

I'm starting a new series today!  Every Tuesday I'm going to show pictures of our home.  I love looking at home tours online so I think this will be fun.

Today I'm going to start in our entryway.

We have lived in our house 12 years and the first time we went through our house with our realtor I fell in love with our entry. 

To be honest everyone goes in our side door so sadly no one ever sees this little space.

Welcome to our entryway!  This is our outside door and right now I have it decked out with our spring monogram.

This is the view of our entry from the living room.

This is our coat closet that holds our coats, shoes and other random things :-)

The other side of this little space has a built in seat with storage.  This is a great place to put on our shoes and the bench also lifts up for more storage.

40x41

I crossed something off my 40x41 list over the weekend!  I hiked Vrooman's Nose.  It was a climb nearly straight uphill but it was SO worth it once we got to the top!  It was beautiful!

Here's our group at the top.  I went with my friends Jenni, Lisa and Sabrina.  Ava also went with her friend Chloe.

There was a lot of tree roots and rocks so  my friend Lisa and I held hands sometimes  so we wouldn't fall.  You can see Vrooman's Nose in the corner of this picture. There are no guard rails so we had to be very careful.

Here's Ava and her friend Chloe on Vrooman's Nose.  Ava hated being close to the edge she quickly took this picture and then headed back down the mountain.  She leaves on her 8th grade trip to the Grand Canyon on Friday.  That should be interesting!

I took some scenery pictures because it was so beautiful up there.

It was a great morning I am so glad we went!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Tonight our neighbor's Heidi and Brett had their annual Easter Egg Hunt.  It's a few weeks late because Easter was so early this year!

They always have a big crowd. Here are all the kids on the stairs before the hunt.

Instead of hunting eggs Ava helped us hide them.  It makes me sad to think she's too old to hunt eggs :-(

And the kids are off! We hid a ton of eggs so each kid got a nice, big bag full.

When we were hiding the eggs we found some from last year-ewwww!

The parents took a few pics while the kids were finding eggs. I told everyone in a few years we will look back on these pictures and think we look SO young-ha ha!

Life lately

On Tuesday Ava went to my swim class.  She texted me this snap chat to Brock-ha ha!  She did have fun when she got there AND my swim ladies loved her.  I'm glad she went!

On Thursday we celebrated my friend Sarah's 29th birthday.  Yes-she's a baby!  We met her at the Y and she's a doll.  She's from Indiana and went to Purdue she moved to NY for work. We love our Sarah!

Thursday night Ava and I went to a spaghetti dinner fundraiser with our friends Lisa, Chloe and Ava.

Friday Anne and Gary's goats had twins. Anne sent me this pic!  I can't wait to meet them :-)

Today Ava had basketball all day.  It's always fun watching her play! 

Her friend Laine is in a child development class and she has a "baby" all weekend.  Here is the baby with us on the way to the games. Poor Laine was tired the baby woke her up 6 times last night!
