Eliza's recital

Friday night Ava and I went and watched Eliza's recital.  She did a great job!  It was fun to watch her dance.
Here is a sweet picture of Ava and little Eliza after her recital.   She performed in a jazz number and did a great job.

My friend Stephanie also went so here we all are with Eliza.

I didn't take many pictures this weekend Graig and I were busy working on our house.  He is painting outside and I planted flowers and have been de-cluttering.  It's amazing how much stuff we have accumulated.   My goal this summer is to get rid of all of it-here's hoping I can do it!
Happy Monday!

Weekend fun!

This weekend we had a nice balance between work and fun which is always nice.  Graig and I got a ton of stuff done around the house and we also got to celebrate this weekend with friends which is always great.

Yesterday our friends Dave and Amy hosted a party at their property by a lake.  It was a beautiful day and a great day to be outside.  The party started in the afternoon and went til late.

Here is the beautiful lake it was so nice being on the water.

Me friend Heidi and I went in a  canoe with her daughter Mickaela.  Thankfully we didn't tip over.  I'm sitting on my life jacket :-).

Ava and her BFF Avery.  They tried taking this picture about 50 times before it came out.

I love these ladies so much I'm thankful for each and every one of them.  I love little Lachlan too he is so sweet.  Sara got him ready for bed right before we took this picture.

Me and the hostess with the mostest Amy.

Pilar and Eliza love little Lach they are little mommies to him.

Me and Heidi we were posing like our daughters always do with their hands on their hips.

Today Brock had a flying lesson and he flew to Binghamton which is about an hour from our house. This is the first picture I have of him in the cockpit.

I told him to text me a picture so I could see what he sees when he's up in the air.  This is the picture he took.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Catch Up!

I am the world's worst blogger!  It's been two whole months since I've updated and lots has happened so I will catch you up with this post.  These are in reverse order starting with our most recent pics and going back to March-yikes!  I need to do a better job staying on top of this blog!

Anywhoo yesterday was very exciting because the President came for a visit!  He spoke at the baseball hall of fame about tourism in upstate NY.   I took off work and Ava and I went to Cooperstown hoping to see President Obama.  The Hall of Fame event was an invitation only event so we stood on the street hoping to get a glimpse of him.  We were thrilled when we saw his motorcade!  It was a fun day and I am so glad that we went.  It was a once in a lifetime event and I am glad that were were there.

Wednesday night Ava and I took Noah and Lachlan out for dinner.  We have so much fun with these cutie pies.

Since it's the end of the year we have had a lot of senior events for our graduating students.  Here is a picture of me and my friend Danielle at one of our events.

I went with my friends the Heidi's (I call them because they are both named Heidi) to a fundraising event for the College that they work at.

I also attended the annual garden club luncehon with my friends Rachael and Michelle.

Earlier this month I visited my sister and her family and my Dad and Vicki for a few days.  It was great catching up with them.  Ainsley is getting SO big it was great to see her again.

Before I left I had a girl's night out with some friends.

In May I also said goodbye to my two spring semester interns.  I will miss Megan and Lauren so much. Megan is off to law school in the fall and Megan is going to graduate school for higher education.

Graig's brother Garth and his family visited us in April.  It was great to see them and our sweet nephew Gabe.  He is precious.  Here are Brock and Ava with Grandma Jan and Gabe.

Brock's high school baseball season ended yesterday.  We have spent our days this spring at his baseball games.  Here he is tagging out someone at first base.  He is playing on two baseball teams this summer so there is a lot more games in our future.

That's it for us!  Sorry this post formatted weird.    My goal for the summer is to update more often.  This weekend we have a couple of Memorial Day parties to attend and Brock is in a basketball tournament in Albany.  It will be a fun weekend for us!  Happy Friday.

Our week!

I am SO glad it's Thursday. This week has been busy, busy, busy and I am ready for the weekend to relax and to work on a few projects around our house.

Here are some pictures from our week.

Brock got his license last month.  A few weeks ago he finally picked out a car.  He paid for the car using his own money that he earned doing a paper route and working in the summers.  He got a Honda accord.  It's a great car for him!    It has 100,000 miles on it, it's  a stick shift and it has an automatic starter and back up camera.  He absolutely loves it and is so proud of it.  We went to dinner Sunday night and he drove us!  I took a picture of him before we left our house. He was thrilled as you can tell.

In the fall I am going to run a marathon relay with 3 of my girl friends.  We are each going to run 6 or 7 miles depending on the leg that we are in.   I think it will be fun and it will give me something to train for this year.

My town has a very active Garden Club and I've gone to a few meetings this year.  There was a meeting on Monday and we learned all about terrariums.  I went right home and made my own.  I like the way it turned out!

Yesterday I got to eat lunch with these two cuties and their moms.  We had such a great time laughing and talking.

and great news my volleyball team won our game last night!!  We haven't won a game all year so we were all excited to finally get a win!

Tonight Ava has a basketball game and I have book club with my friends.  Happy Thursday!

Sara's shower!

Yesterday we celebrated our friend Sara with a sprinkle for her baby girl.

I love this banner the hostesses made.

The food was delicious!  They had great little sandwiches, macaroni and cheese and desserts!

Me in the food line-ha ha

They had these beautiful vases.  They were made by painting the inside of a glass bowl.  I'm going to try to make them!

Sara is all the way in the left.  Her baby girl will be here in 2 weeks. It was a great afternoon celebrating with friends!

Our Saturday!

Our niece Ainsley has had medical issues since birth-she's had numerous tests done, been to many, many doctors to try to figure things out. Doctors think she might have FSHD (Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy) but they aren't 100% sure.  My sister has documented Ainsley's journey on her blog .  Yesterday they found out that a doctor in the Netherlands is going to repeat all of Ainsley's FSHD tests! He is the number 1 FSHD doctor in the world and I'm thrilled that he's going to look at Ainsley's case!  I pray that my sister and her husband will finally get answers they have been searching for.  She is the cutest 3 year old I know.  Here she is with Ava during our Disney trip in January.

Brock started baseball on Monday.  His first game is less than a month away!  I can't wait to watch him play again.

Brock took his SAT today!!  He didn't say much about test except it was really hard.  We wanted him to do it early because we think he'll have to do it again.

Ava had a basketball tournament today and her team won!  She was selected for the all tournament team and was thrilled!

Happy Saturday!

Weekend wrap up!

We had a busy and fun weekend!

Brock's basketball team played their last game on Saturday night.  They made it to the sectional finals.  It was a good game but our boys lost :-(. It was an emotional game for all the players on our team because their basketball coach was diagnosed with MS last week.   It's heartbreaking and Brock has been so upset because he just loves his coach. He had yesterday off and then today he had basketbsll practice for his summer team and he had the first day of baseball tryouts.

Sunday morning some of my friends and I met for breakfast it was great catching up with everybody!
A lot of my friends have had babies recently so it was fun to hold them.  I love this picture of two of the babies looking each other over.  Zoey is almost 1and Lachlan is 17 months.
And I love this picture of my friend Rachael holding Lachlan
Yesterday afternoon my friend Sara and I went out for ice cream and to buy new candles at Bath and Body works.  Our friend Allison works there and she gave us a demo on their new hand soaps and lotions.
Last night I went to my friend Rachael's for "family" dinner.  As usual she had everything done so nice.  Here are our place settings.  She made lasagna it wS delicious!
This was our dessert.  It was fabulous and so rich.
Happy Monday!!
