Our weekend

We had a busy and fun weekend!

Friday night I went to Rachael’s to watch the Dodgers play.  My friend Vicki’s nephew Cody plays for the Dodgers.  He has played on the team for two years and we’ve gone to watch him play both summers. Last year they went to the World Series and I hope they go again this year.  Whenever there is a big game we like to get together and watch it.  Here is a pic  from Friday night.

And here are some pics from our time watching him play in Cleveland

And in DC

2 because this was our second game of the day.  The Dodgers had a double header when we saw him play in DC because of a rainout.

This was a cool little stat that MLB put out on facebook yesterday.

I hope he has a long career!  I love watching him play.

I had to work all day at Emerging Leaders which is a leadership conference for freshman and sophomore students.  Right after Emerging Leaders I got in the car and headed to Albany to meet my friends and Ava for the Justin Timberlake concert.  We have been so excited about going to this concert. It was an amazing show.  We had great seats and had the best time dancing the night away at the concert.

After the concert Ava and I went home because we had to be up bright and early on Sunday to work at the basketball fundraising breakfast. Ava and her teammates worked hard to raise money for their team.  I made a fall themed basket with a couple of other moms from the team.  I think it turned out really cute and the lady that won it was THRILLED.

Here are the JV and V girls all together at the breakfast.  These girls are so sweet and I hope they have the best year playing together.

After the breakfast we went home and got ready for the week.  I cleaned up our house a little bit and worked on a couple of crafts for the upcoming Holiday Market.

I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Weekend Fun!

This past weekend was a good mix of work and fun.  I just love weekends like that!

We did a ton of scraping paint at our rental house.  It was super hot and definitely not fun but we are making progress.  We hope to have it all scraped and painted by the end of August.  Here is a before picture of our rental house.   As you can see we have a lot of work to do!

Thursday night I went to the baseball park with friends to watch the fireworks and have some appetizers.  They have a new outside firepit area and it's a great place to watch the fireworks.

We ordered carrot cake and nachos and both were delicious...and definitely not WW friendly but both were so good!

Ava spent the weekend camping with another family.  It was a gorgeous weekend for camping and they had a great time!

Sunday night I went to see my favorite band Sugarland at Turning Stone.  I saw Jennifer Nettles in December and she was just as fabulous this time.  It was an amazing concert they played a good mix of old songs and new and it was a great night.  I went with some friends and we ate at the Tin Rooster before the show and that was a lot of fun!

I am hosting book club tonight, our exchange student Anne is visiting with her family so we are having dinner with them tomorrow and then I'm having a day at the lake Thursday to celebrate the birthdays of two dear friends.

Have a great week!

Hospice Concert 2017

Every year I go to the annual Hospice Concert with my friends.  It's a fun night and the money raised goes to support our local hospice which does so much good for families in our community.  I am thankful that my own family has not had to use hospice but I know so many friends that have used hospice care when their family members are sick and I think it's a wonderful organization.

The tickets are pricey $225 but that includes dinner, drinks and the concert.  This year there were three acts Brett Young, Night Ranger and Daughtry.  Here is my post from last year's concert.

Ava also came to the concert with her friends.  It was so great to have her there too!  She had a great time.
Here are some pictures from the night.

Ava and her friend Mary waiting in line to get in.

My friends and I before walking in to the concert.

My favorite act was Brett Young.  My friend T and I took a selfie with him.

And then after his performance we went backstage and got a big group picture with him.

Ava and her friends wore matching shirts in different colors which I thought was so cute.  These girls had a great night at the concert.

Stephanie, Rachael, Mica and me :-)

Night Ranger played next and I knew a lot of their songs. I was looking forward to them but I honestly didn't enjoy them at all because it was too loud.  I guess I'm officially getting old 👵🏼

The last performer was Daughtry.  Ava and her friends were most excited about seeing Daughtry.   He took Ava's f phone and took a selfie with the girls.  They thought that was awesome ❤️

Here are a few more pictures from our fun night.

It was a great concert!  And the perfect way to start the summer.

Hospice Concert

Last night was the Hospice fundraiser featuring Pat Benatar.  It was SO fun!  It really is one of the craziest nights of the year  in our little town.

The night includes the concert, delicious food and beverages.

Graig didn't go so we took a quick pic before I left.

Sabrina and me :-). This was the only time we sat down all night.

The night consisted of talking and taking pictures. I always love this event because I know so many people that go and we always have a great time.

The opening singer was Lindsay Ell.  We got to go back stage and take a picture with her!

Graig's boss was there so we took a pic

It was a celebrity party and the celebrities were ESPN people.  I had no idea who they were but I thought Graig might so we took pictures with them too.

Ava's basketball coaches and my friend Teri in red.

My four bff's :-). I love these girls so much!

My beautiful friend Kacy

My friend Monica and me :-)

After mixing and mingling we made our way to the very front of the stage for the concert.  We manage to get in the front row every year and it's great!

Lindsay Ell the opening act ahe was fabulous!

Front row craziness!

I love this picture of my  friends. I wish I could crop myself out I have no idea why my mouth is open and I'm not smiling.

Pat Benatar  was amazing and she played all of her hits. I loved the concert so much!

After the concert  the guitar player he gave me his drum sticks because he said he could tell I had the best time dancing and singing. It was nice he came down and took pictures with us after the show.

Here's one last pic from our wild and crazy night.  My friends Lynn and Rachael.  We had so much fun and I can't wait til next year!
