Tuesday, Tuesday!

This afternoon I got a text from my friend Sabrina.  She said "I want to start a blog will you help me?" I was SO excited!  I have been trying her to start a blog for years.  She is so creative and is always coming up with cute  ideas for projects and crafts.  Her blog is called Poppies and Pinwheels.  Here is the link.  Last night she came over along  with Allison and we worked on her blog.

We also did a quick craft project for me...this is still a work in progress. Sunday Allison and I went to our favorite junk store and we bought these cake tins.  Allison saw this idea on the Crafting Chicks blog.  I also saw this in the Pottery Barn catalog.  It's a tiered stand.  We just glued it together last night.  I need to figure out what I'm going to put in it!

Today I'm at home with Ava she isn't feeling well. I think it might be allergies.  Poor thing she is STILL sleeping!   This afternoon Brock has a baseball game and I am hoping to get out of the house to get some flowers!  Have a good Tuesday.

What's in a name?

It has been such a long process picking out a name for my blog. I always wanted Brock and Ava to be a temporary name until I came up with one I liked...it took me 9 months! I had two criteria for my name

1. I wanted a name that would go along with Brock and Ava because they are the main focus of my blog

2. I wanted a catchy name that people could remember.

I am envious of people that have cute blog names. I wish my url (is that the right word?) matched the name of my blog but it doesn't. Here are some of my favorite blog names

I love it! It's the perfect name for my blog!! If you have me on your blog roll please change my name when you get a chance :)

I am going to bed early tonight, I am so tired, this daylight savings is really messing me up. I woke up at 3am this morning and could not go back to sleep, it was awful!! I hate when that happens. I hope that I sleep all night tonight, tomorrow is a busy day at work and Brock has a basketball game tomorrow night!

Blog Makeover!

Last night I decided to give my blog a makeover! I did the header using Scrapblog. My header is one from their templates and was super easy to do, I would like to play around with it a little more to see what else I can come up with because there are a lot of neat ideas on there.The picture of Brock and Ava is the only one that I could find of them together! I wanted a Christmas background and I found this one on http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/, I love it! The only thing I am not crazy about is the holly berries and other stuff where you read (Does that make sense) I wish that wasn't on there.

Anyway, we had a fabulous Thanksgiving!! We ate lunch at Noon and Grandma Jan came over to eat with us. After lunch we cleaned up and Grandma Jan, Ava and I headed to Wal-Mart while Brock and Graig stayed home to watch football. I got a lot of cute Christmas decorations and a new tree for our living room. Ava picked out a pink tree for her room. It's so cute!

Brock and Ava spent the night at Grandma Jan's so we took our dogs for a long walk and then I took a nap(which was so heavenly!) and we ate some Thanksgiving leftovers and then we went to watch the movie Four Christmases. It was really good!Today I am going to stay home and decorate for Christmas and watch the 90210 marathon on Soap Network! It should be a fun, relaxing day.

Beth-another friend I know in real life, we worked together and then she left for grad school so we lost touch but we caught up with each other when we started blogging. She has two adorable kids, Ryan and Colleen.

40 pink piggies-because I love reading her blog everyday! She has a great blog and 4 of the most adorable girls that I have ever seen!

One fabulous mom-I love reading her blog too! She posted the greatest recipes this week! I made the tuna casserole tonight for dinner. My family loved it!!
